SPORT TRADITIONS
Sport is a part of universal culture, in the world, its a facility to combining
languages, religions, races and different people. In all sports items, in the
same time, include social cohesion besides of relaxing and having fun. According
to recently understanding, firstly, sport is an important mass vehicle. Like
sport develops humans body with physical aspects, with games, actions,
competitions in the same time, it’s a new field of science which defines human
ago, behavioral characteristics, the psychic structure. Whereas, can not be
isolated of physical structure and mind from each others, In today’s concept of
philosophy of education, the aims of the physical education, in other means
sports education, are tend to aims over than body word. These are social,
physical, sensory and cognitive development.
In the throughout of history, different sports traditions have been formed.
Sports of Ancient Greek traditions were extremely individually and team works
were not important. Sport was being seen as a facility for establish
aristocratic virtues such as courage, patience. Sports have provided possibility
to win literary glory and honor to humans.

In the old Roman tradition sports, free men’s would not fight in arena. Sports
in Roma, had been seen as a show which organized by state. Free Romans had been
watching encounter of slave and to kill each others. This fun emphasized the
frightening power of the State.

In sports in English traditions, sports inVictoriaterm, in elite schools was
used to strengthen of managers of traditions. As different than Greeks, team
play and fair play was important for English. Football teams which was foul, was
taking the goalkeeper for goal. Aim was to teach to team spirit, consciousness
to following to honor and rules. These were important features for states which
managed great empire.
Sports traditions of Turkish was integrated by geographic region where they
lived, objects as synthesis of different sports traditions, which adopted the
spirit of collective work and giving importance to ability and individual power
which sourced than to migration permanently. Skills and team spirit in
horse-javelin, fair play in oil wrestling, pacient and ability to self control
in archery teach success. This creates a role model to individual who struggling
in living conditions permanently.
We want to work all together in about reflections of sports in different
cultures and traditions, and additionally to modern human.
